Scunthorpe Scorpions meeting with Berwick Bandits yesterday was abandoned following a serious injury to visiting rider Ricky Ashworth.
Ricky Ashworth flew into the fence during the third lap of heat 11 while trying to get past Scunthorpe Scorpions reserve Ryan Douglas and needed lengthy treatment from track paramedics before being taken to Scunthorpe hospital by ambulance.
Then later taken to the neurological hospital in Hull.
